NOBIALLO

The leaning tower of Nobiallo

Just as there is a leaning tower of Pisa, there is little known and very curious leaning tower of Nobiallo.
The bell in question belongs to the parish church dedicated to Saints Bartholomew and Nicholas.
The Romanesque bell tower (XIII) hangs so since it was built, was certainly the cause land subsidence, the construction was stopped and tried to avoid taking the inclination of the sill mullioned windows in the building just above the horizontal and mullioned windows, the stone roof. To see the leaning tower, arrived in Nobiallo village of Menaggio, after having parked by the lake, you reach the bell tower of stone "moltrasio" after a few meters uphill to a lane beside the church.
